NTPC Exploring Projects in Madhya Pradesh

Shri R. S. Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director, NTPC, Shri I.C.P. Keshari, Joint Secretary, Thermal, Ministry of Power and Shri K.K. Aggarwal, Regional Executive Director (Western region) visited Narsinghpur in Madhya Pradesh today and met senior state Government officials. They also held discussions with Shri Vivek Porwal, Collector, Narsinghpur in regard to various aspects of proposed Gadarwara Thermal Power Project of NTPC to be set up in the District. The stage I, of the project shall have installed capacity of 1320 MW (2 X 660 MW).

NTPC, CMD held discussions with public representatives, Honorable MLAs Smt. Sadhna Sthapak (Gadarwara), Shri N.P. Prajapati (Gotegaon) and Shri Sunil Jaiswal (Narsinghpur) were also present during the meeting.

NTPC has total installed capacity of 32194 MW out of which 8593 MW is in the Western Region. The largest project of the company 3260 MW NTPC - Vindhyachal Project is also situated in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
