NTPC signs MOU 2010-11 with GOI

NTPC Limited the largest power generating company in India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Govt. of India for the year 2010-11 today in New Delhi. The MOU was signed by Shri H.S.Brahma Secretary (Power) and Shri R.S. Sharma CMD, NTPC.

As per MOU, NTPC shall generate 226000 Million Units (MUs) of electricity. Important milestones relating to NTPC's various ongoing Thermal, Hydro and Coal mining projects are also covered in the MOU.

MOU inter-alia includes NTPC's plans to issue NIT for bulk tendering of 800 MW. More thrust has been accorded to activities in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

In addition, targets relating to Human Resource Development, Business Development Activities, NETRA, Ash Utilization and Environment measures are also part of MOU (2010-11).

Kapoor, Director (Comml) NTPC, Shri Puneet Goyal, Director (Thermal) MOP and senior officials of Ministry of Power and NTPC were present on the occasion.
