A Joint Venture of SAIL and NTPC- NTPC-SAIL Power Company Private Ltd. (NSPCL)’s Bhilai Expansion Power Project achieved its ultimate capacity of 500 MW (2 x 250 MW) today in presence of Shri Sushilkumar Shinde, Union Power Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh, Union Minister for Steel, Dr. Raman Singh, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and Shri Bharatsinh Solanki. Shri H.S.Brahma, Secy. Power (Govt. of India), Shri S.K.Roongta, Chairman, SAIL, Shri R.S.Sharma, CMD, NTPC, Shri Uma Shankar, CMD, REC, Shri R.Ramaraju, MD, BSP, Shri ICP Keshari, Jt. Secy, Power, Shri R.C.Shrivastav, Chairman, NSPCL, Shri D.K.Chaudhuri, CEO, NSPCL and Shri V.D.Paranjape, GM, NSPCL were also present on the occasion.
Shri Moti Lal Vora, MP (Rajya Sabha), Ms Saroj Pandey, MP (Durg), Shri Charan Das Mahant, MP, Shri Vijay Baghel, Parliamentary Secretary (Home, Jail & Cooperatives), Shri Bhupes Baghel, Former-Minister, Chhattisgarh, Shri Badruddin Kureshi, MLA, Ms Pratima Chandrakar, MLA also graced the occasion.
With the full load operation of 2 x 250 MW at Bhilai today, total capacity of NSPCL’s Captive Power Plants has risen to 814 MW.
