The key challenges in the context of our values are actualisation and relevance. To actualise our core values and ensure that they remain relevant, we have taken various steps, namely, creating a weightage for values in our Performance Management Systems; Conduct training programmes on values and including sessions on values in our key programmes; Rewarding value based behaviour and creation of Value Actualisation Task force. A Vision & Values Revisit Workshop by our top management is a major component of our core value actualisation.

NTPC has, from its inception created a culture of rewards and recognitions through celebration of various achievements and events and recognising the contributions of employees/teams behind such success. There are reward schemes for individual and teams excelling in their work right from the stage of project construction to the running of the power station, as well as, awards for special events/ competitions where employees can demonstrate their competence and skills.
