Indian Power Stations O&M Conference (IPS) is a flagship event of NTPC, organised annually from 13th to 15th February at Raipur. The three-day conference commemorates the synchronisation of the first unit of NTPC Singrauli.

IPS 2025 brought together power professionals from around the world to deliberate on the theme of “Reliable and Sustainable Generation, Asset Management, and Energy Transition”.
Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power) addressed the inaugural function virtually in the presence of Shri Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairperson (CEA), Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, Board of Directors of NTPC and senior officials from MoP, CEA, CERC, NTPC, GENCOs and other companies.




A Premier Platform for Knowledge Exchange
IPS 2025, a premier platform for knowledge exchange in the power sector, witnessed the release of several publications aimed at enhancing industry expertise and power sector best practices. This edition of IPS 2025 received a total of 426 papers out of which 90 papers were short- listed for presentation at the conference, including papers from international organizations like EPRI, OEMS, IPPs, academic and research institutes.

The abstracts of selected papers were released as an e-compendium during inaugural function, along with a set of six e-books and virtual reality (VR) learning modules. These publications underscore NTPC’s dedication to innovation, reliability, and sustainability in power generation, ensuring continuous learning and excellence in the industry.
Celebrating Excellence in Power Sector

The event celebrated the remarkable achievements of the NTPC projects and stations, recognising excellence in power generation with the Swarn Shakti Awards (2023-2024) and Business Excellence Awards (2024-2025).
NTPC Vindhyachal shone brightly, securing the Overall Champion (Winner) title in the Swarn Shakti Award. NTPC Sipat earned the Overall Champion (Runner-Up) position for their outstanding contributions.


In the Business Excellence Awards, NTPC Vindhyachal continued its winning streak, claiming the Champion and Overall Excellence Award. NTPC Talcher Kaniha achieved the Overall Excellence Award, demonstrating their commitment to excellence.
NTPC Korba emerged as the Champion of the Annual Heat Rate Awards, demonstrating exceptional performance and dedication to power generation. NTPC Vindhyachal, as the Runner-Up, highlighted its relentless pursuit of excellence.
In the Annual Water Award category, NTPC Kudgi clinched the Champion title, while NTPC Sipat secured the Runner-Up position.
Techno Galaxy Exhibition

These accolades are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our projects and stations in achieving efficiency and sustainability in power generation.
Another key attraction of IPS 2025 was the Techno Galaxy Exhibition featuring cutting-edge technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Digitalisation and creative solutions from numerous vendors and manufacturers.
With a total of 59 stalls, the exhibition features 16 stalls by NTPC projects and stations and 43 stalls by leading vendors, manufacturers, and technology providers from across the industry. The exhibition highlights state-of-the-art energy-efficient technologies, digital transformation solutions, and advancements in power generation and asset management.


A key highlight at IPS is the LED Journey Wall, which showcases NTPC’s evolution, achievements, and milestones in the power sector. The interactive display provides visitors with insights, offering a visual narrative of NTPC’s transformative journey.
IPS 2025 remains a leading platform for knowledge-sharing and underscores NTPC’s commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability in India’s power sector.
