Faster Project Execution: Survival mantra of the time” – said Shri K.C.Venugopal, Minister of State for Power at NTPC Simhadri today. The Minister was interacting with the NTPC officials during his two day visit to Andhra Pradesh. During the visit he inaugurated the Control room of the Coal handling Plant of Stage-II of Simhadri Power Project.
He emphasized the need for faster execution of projects, as India as a country cannot afford any delay in project execution. With power sector becoming more competitive, NTPC has to revisit its project execution strategies for faster project execution MOSP said.
NTPC has assured the Minister that the on-going execution work of Simhadri will be completed by the end of this year. With the completion of the expansion project, NTPC Simhadri will become 2000 MW Power Station. The MOSP also urged NTPC to explore the feasibility of expanding Ramagundam STPP.
In his interaction he asked NTPC to give thrust to Corporate Social Responsibility activities. MOSP also reviewed the progress of implementation of Central Flagship Programmes RGGVY and RAPDRP.
