Ms Rashmita Jha has taken over the charge of Chief Vigilance Officer, NTPC w.e.f 12th June 2024 on a deputation basis for an initial period of three years. 

She belongs to Indian Revenue Services (Income Tax), 1997 batch. She has worked on various assignments at Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) in Delhi Region from 1999 to 2023. She has worked in various offices from domestic taxation to international taxation.

Ms Jha has also worked in vigilance and litigation section of CBDT and settlement commission governed by Deptt. of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. She has served Bihar and Jharkhand Region in the capacity of Commissioner of Income Tax (TDS) and also Commissioner of Income Tax (Audit), Income Tax Appellate Tribunal and Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals).
