NTPC was conferred with “Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility” Award at the prestigious 19th CII-ITC Sustainability Awards 2024. This is the highest award conferred by CII-ITC and NTPC is the only PSU to receive this recognition in the CSR category.
The award was presented by Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, Hon'ble Vice President of India, and was received by Shri Anil Kumar Jadli, Director (HR) in a ceremony at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on 10th July.
This award recognises companies that have positively impacted both business and society by taking a strategic approach to CSR through collaborative programmes with government and civil society. The award is bestowed on NTPC for demonstrating highest level of commitment to CSR best practices that contribute to enhancement of quality of life of the communities and NTPC's contribution as a responsible corporate citizen in nation building, consistent with its commitment to a greener and a cleaner tomorrow.
