NTPC bagged the All India Management Association’s Champion’s Trophy of 1st Edition of the Corporate Management Olympiad 2018-19 on 22nd January,2019 Shri Anurag Singh, Shri Vivek Kumar Gupta and Shri Dipankar Padhi from Business Development won Gold in the Business Simulation Round and Shri Madhurjya Singha Lahkar, Corporate Communications and Shri Jay Prakash Gupta, PP&M won Gold in the Case Study Category (Creating Sustainable Brands in Digital World).
Shri Shivashish Bhattacharjee, Dir (Comml) Sectt and Shri Anirudh Sood,PE-Civil won Silver in Management Quiz category (Topic: New Age Technologies) and Shri Vinay Kumar and Shri Ankur Kumar,PE-Civil bagged Bronze in same category (Topic: Marketing and Brand). Shri Anupam Kumar,Finance and Shri Hemant Singh, Fin-Budget won Silver in in the Case Study Category (Leadership in the era of Disruption). Shri A. Choudhuri, Corporate Planning, Shri Anupam Kumar, Finance and Shri Hemant Singh, Fin-Budget bagged Silver in Business Simulation Round.
The Awards were judged and presented by an external jury comprising of Dr. Babu Lal, Former ED-Corporate L&D (BHEL, Noida), Ms. Neena Chatrath, Leadership & Talent Management Consultant, Shri Rama Shankar Pandey, CEO & MD, Hella India Lighting Ltd, Shri Santanu Saha, Founder and CEO of HR Consultant Firm, The Recruiters. Shri Neeraj Kapoor, Director AIMA was also present during the award ceremony.
12 shortlisted teams from NTPC participated in the day- long event out of which NTPC won in 6 categories thus qualifying it for the overall Champion’s Trophy. More than 65 Teams both from Public and Private Sectors participated in the 1st Edition of the Olympiad this year held in New Delhi.
