NTPC's Farakka STPP and Auraiya Gas power Station have been declared as Winners for National Safety Awards-2008.
NTPC's Talcher Thermal Power Station under Scheme No.1 (Lowest Average Frequency Rate) and Rihand STPP have been declared as Runners-up for National Safety Awards for the year 2008.
Since 1965, the Ministry of Labour & Employment has been granting Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puruskar and National Safety Awards to recognize performance of workers and management in promoting higher productivity, efficiency and safety.
