NTPC Ltd, India’s largest power producer is prepared to supply uninterrupted power to the nation despite the widespread threat of COVID-19.
To deal with the ongoing crisis, NTPC Ltd has issued suitable advisories for its employees posted at various Units and Offices in line with the advisory issued by the Government of India to deal with the epidemic. All employees have been advised to avoid face to face meetings and Public gatherings to the extent feasible.
New Delhi, 25th March 2020: India’s largest power generator, NTPC Ltd today announced the increase of its total installed capacity to 58,816 MW with the commissioning of 2nd Unit of 660 MW at Khargone Super Thermal Power Project in Madhya Pradesh.
With this, the total installed capacity of Khargone Super Thermal Power Project, NTPC and NTPC group has become 1,320 MW, 50,355 MW and 58,816 MW respectively.
NTPC Limited, a ‘Maharatna’ CPSE under Ministry of Power, has entered into Share Purchase Agreements with Government of India to acquire 74.496% equity stake in THDC India Limited (THDCIL) and 100% equity stake in North-Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO).

New Delhi, 28th March 2020: India’s largest power generator, NTPC Ltd today announced that its total installed capacity at the group level has risen to 62,110 MW after stake acquisitions in North-Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) & THDC India Ltd (THDCIL).
New Delhi, March 28th, 2020: NTPC Ltd, India’s largest power producer, has stepped up it's vigil against global pandemic of COVID-19 by converting it's hospitals into dedicated Covid-19 units.
NTPC has already utilised its 45 hospitals/health units to make isolation facilities and procured requisite number of equipment for the medical staff to handle such cases effectively.
As many as 121 beds, with all facilities, have been turned into isolation wards in these hospitals.

New Delhi, 2nd April, 2020: NTPC Ltd, India’s largest power producer, contributed INR 257.5 Crore to the PM CARES Fund to support the government in the fight against COVID-19. While INR 250 crore have been given by the company, NTPC employees have also contributed INR 7.5 crore towards the PM CARES Fund as their one day salary.

NTPC is also efficiently managing the coal supplies for continuous supply of electricity.
