New Delhi, August 26th 2021: On Women’s Equality Day, NTPC Ltd, India’s largest integrated energy company has recruited its first all-Female Engineering Executive Trainees (EETs) batch to reaffirm its stand on diversity and inclusion.
NTPC has been supplying power to the state of Bihar as per the schedule provided by various stations of NTPC and its JVs. During the fortnight from 14.08.2021 to 28.08.2021, on an average, NTPC has supplied around 73 MU Power on daily basis to Bihar, which constitutes around 62% of the total consumption of Bihar during the same period.
The country is witnessing a sharp increase in power demandand NTPC is making all efforts for meeting demand as per the grid requirement. NTPC has geared up to meet the increasing demand and the generation from NTPC group stations has registered a 23% growth compared to the previous year.
To meet the increase in demand, following actions have been taken:
• Under flexible utilization of coal policy, NTPC is arranging coal at the stations where the stock position is critical.
NTPC Renewable Energy ltd (REL) a 100 per cent subsidiary of NTPC ltd, has signed its first Green Term Loan agreement of ₹ 500 crores at a very competitive rate with a tenor of 15 years with Bank of India on 29th September 2021 for its 470 MW Solar Projects in Rajasthan & 200 MW Solar Project in Gujarat.
For the financial year 2020-21, NTPC Ltd. has paid final dividend of Rs. 3,054.45 crore, being 31.5% of the paid-up equity share capital of the Company.
New Delhi, October 14th, 2021: In its effort to strengthen fuel security, NTPC, the country's largest power generator, commenced coal offtake from Talabira Mines of NLC in Odisha. As per the agreement, NTPC shall offtake of coal from Talabira mines to Lara and Darlipalli. Besides this, NTPC is also ramping up coal production from its captive mines.
