NTPC enters pact with NIIF to explore business opportunities in India

New Delhi, July 16, 2020: Country’s largest power generation company, NTPC Ltd today entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), acting through National Investment and Infrastructure Fund Limited (NIIFL), to explore opportunities for investments in areas like renewable energy, power distribution among other areas of mutual interest in India.

NTPC's total installed capacity reaches 62910 MW

New Delhi, July 20, 2020: Total installed capacity of NTPC Ltd, India’s largest power generation company has increased to 62910 MW.

800 MW, Unit-2 of Lara Super Thermal Power Project, has been added to Installed Capacity of NTPC on successful completion of Trial Operation.

With this, the total installed capacity of NTPC and NTPC group has become 51155 MW and 62910 MW respectively.

NTPC Group achieves over 100 BUs of cumulative generation in the current financial year

NTPC Group has achieved over 100 Billion Units (BUs) of cumulative generation in the current financial year, reinforcing group’s commitment towards excellence in operation across its plants.

As per the data published by Central Electricity Authority (CEA), NTPC Korba (2600 MW) in Chattisgarh has emerged as the top performing thermal power plant in India with 97.42% Plant Load Factor (PLF) between April to July 2020.

NTPC – Q1 FY21 Unaudited Results

The Country’s largest power generator- NTPC Ltd. with a group installed capacity of 62110 MW, declared the unaudited financial results for Q1 FY21 on 14 August 2020.

The gross generation of NTPC in Q1 FY21 was 60.18 Billion units as against 68.49 Billion units during the corresponding previous quarter. NTPC Coal stations achieved PLF of 58.22% in Q1 FY21 as against the National Average PLF of 46.70%.
