NTPC joins UN’s CEO Water mandate to step up work on water conservation with reduce, reuse and recycle

NEW DELHI, June 4, 2021 - NTPC Ltd, India’s largest power utility has become a signatory to the prestigious UN Global Compact’s CEO Water Mandate. With NTPC joining the coveted league of companies that focus on efficient water management, its Chairman and Managing Director ShriGurdeep Singh has joined a select group of business leaders who recognize the ever-growing importance of water stewardship and have been working to conserve this precious natural resource. NTPC has already taken a series of measures across its plant locations on sound water management.

Vaccination Drive at NTPC Corporate Office SCOPE Complex

NEW DELHI . To combat second wave of Covid Pandemic and ensure safety and good health of its employees, their family members and associates NTPC has been organising Vaccination drives at its various locations and offices.

A total number of 2013 persons have been vaccinated at NTPC SCOPE Office in New Delhi, over five days in a phased manner.

The vaccination process was conducted under strict Covid protocol.

Shri MSD Bhattamishra, Executive Director (HR) and HR Team was present on the occasion to facilitate and oversee the convenience of the beneficiaries.

NTPC among top 50 @Great Place to Work in India - Recognised as the Nation Builders 2021 by the GPTW

New Delhi, June 19th, 2021:NTPC has been recognised as a Great Place to Work for the 15th year in a row by the Great Place to Work Institute.

NTPC is the only PSU to consistently feature in India’s Top 50 Best Workplaces. This year NTPC ranked 38th up from 47th position last year. It also won it’s first-ever recognition of India’s Best Employers among Nation-Builders 2021. India set to organise a 2-day summit on Green Hydrogen Initiatives involving BRICS nations.

New Delhi, 20th June, 20201: India is all set to host a two day summit on Green Hydrogen initiatives on 22nd June, 2021 involving the BRICS nations. The prestigious event offers a platform to share their respective Green Hydrogen initiatives and views on how to take it to the next level in their own countries. The online event will be held via a video conference and will conclude on 23rd June.

The event will be anchored by India’s largest power producer and one of the global energy majors, NTPC Ltd.

NTPC Declares its Energy Compact Goals towards sustainability

New Delhi, 27th June 2021: NTPC Limited, India’s largest power generating company has become first Energy Company in energy domain in India to declare its Energy Compact goals as part of UN High-level Dialogue on Energy (HLDE). NTPC has set a target to install 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032. India’s largest power producer is also aiming at 10% reduction in net energy intensity by 2032.

NTPC is among the few organisations globally to declare its Energy Compact goals.
