Shri Piyush Singh has done B. Tech (Civil) from IIT Delhi. He worked in various capacities in District Administration, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment and Department of health & family welfare, Government of Maharashtra. He also served in Uttrakhand in Planning department, Dehradun. He has wide experience in the area of Public Administration and Planning.

Shri Jaikumar Srinivasan (DIN. 01220828) has taken charge as Director (Finance), NTPC on 21.7.2022. He is a Commerce Graduate and an Associate Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
Shri Jaikumar Srinivasan has more than 30 years of experience in Power and Mining sector in State and Central PSUs in the field of Finance. Accounts, Taxation, Commercial, Electricity regulation, Renewables, IT, Project development etc. with 8 years Board level exposure.
Shri K. Shanmugha Sundaram
Director (Projects)
Shri K. Shanmugha Sundaram (DIN: 10347322) has taken charge as Director (Projects), NTPC on 1st December, 2023.
Shri K. Shanmugha Sundaram is a 1988 batch Electronics and Communication Engineering graduate from Govt. College of Technology, Coimbatore with PGDM from MDI Gurgaon in the area of Strategy & Finance. Prior to joining as Director (Projects), NTPC Limited, he was ED to CMD, NTPC Limited.
Celebrating and commemorating 75 years of independence, the weeklong celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration at NTPC Darlipali which started on 13th March concluded on 19th March.
NTPC has made commercially operational an additional 42.5 MW of power generation capacity at Ramagundam floating solar project in Telangana on 24th March, 2022. Earlier the company had commissioned 17.5 MW (Part-I) and 20 MW (Part-II) of the project.
New Delhi, 31st March, 2022: NTPC, India's largest integrated power generating company delivered a phenomenal performance with highest ever annual group generation of 360 BU, a growth of 14.6% compared to previous year.
During this period, NTPC also recorded the highest ever single day generation of 1215.68 MU (Group) & 1013.45 MU (NTPC). The coal-based plants recorded a PLF (Plant Load Factor) of 70.7% with an availability factor of 88.8%. On a standalone basis, NTPC generated 299 BU in FY 21-22, an increase of 10.4% over the previous year.
