Chief Vigilance Officer

Ms Rashmita Jha has taken over the charge of Chief Vigilance Officer, NTPC w.e.f 12th June 2024 on a deputation basis for an initial period of three years. 

She belongs to Indian Revenue Services (Income Tax), 1997 batch. She has worked on various assignments at Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) in Delhi Region from 1999 to 2023. She has worked in various offices from domestic taxation to international taxation.

NTPC achieves 113.87 BU generation in Q1 FY25

New Delhi, 1st July 2024: NTPC Ltd, India’s largest integrated power utility, recorded a generation of 113.87 billion units (BU) in Q1 FY25, at a growth of 9.5% as compared to the corresponding period of previous year.

During the quarter, NTPC coal stations recorded a plant load factor (PLF) of 79.5%.

NTPC has significantly ramped up its power generation, ensuring a steady and reliable supply of electricity as the nation’s electricity demand continues to soar to newer peaks.

NTPC achieves 17.15% surge in Coal Despatch and 15% Growth in Coal Production in Q1 FY25

New Delhi, 1st July, 2024: NTPC Ltd., India's leading integrated power utility, has reported a growth of 17.15% in coal despatch from its captive mines during Q1 FY25, as compared to the corresponding period of previous year.

The company achieved an impressive coal despatch of 10.194 MMT during Q1 FY25. Whereas, Coal production stood at 9.862 MMT with a growth of nearly 15% by the end of quarter Q1 FY25.

NTPC and CEA Conduct National Workshop on Pumped Storage Projects at PMI, Noida

New Delhi, 11th June 2024: NTPC, India’s largest integrated power company in collaboration with the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), successfully organized a two day National Level Workshop on the "Standardization of Technical Specification for Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs)” at the Power Management Institute (PMI) in Noida. The aim of the workshop was to foster collaboration and synergy among PSP developers, civil execution agencies, electro-mechanical equipment manufacturers, consultants, and government authorities.

NTPC – FY24 Audited Results NTPC Group-Generation up by 6%, PAT up by 25%

New Delhi, 24th May, 2024: India’s largest integrated power utility- NTPC Ltd., with an installed Group capacity of 76,015 MW, has declared the financial results for FY24 on 24th May 2024. 

NTPC Group recorded the highest-ever annual generation of 422 Billion Units in FY24 as compared to 399 Billion Units in FY23, an increase of ~6%. NTPC’s standalone gross generation in FY24 was 362 Billion Units as compared to 344 Billion Units in the previous year, registering an increase of ~5%.
