NTPC adds 3924 MW new capacity in FY24

New Delhi, 1st April 2024: NTPC Ltd., India’s largest integrated power utility, has achieved addition of 3924 MW new capacity to its overall portfolio in FY24, elevating its cumulative installed capacity to almost 76 GW.

This includes the commissioning of the 2nd Unit in Bangladesh and maiden capacity addition by both NGEL and NREL during the FY ending 31st March 2024.

NTPC records 55% growth in Coal Despatch

New Delhi, April 01, 2024: NTPC Ltd., India's leading integrated power utility, has reported a substantial growth of 55% in coal despatch from its captive mines during FY24, as compared to the previous year.

The company achieved an impressive coal despatch of 34.15 MMT and Coal production stood at 34.38 MMT with a growth of nearly 50% by the end of 31st March 2024.

This outstanding performance reflects NTPC's relentless commitment to enhancing coal production from its captive mines and ensuring efficient supply to meet the nation's energy needs.

NTPC achieves 422 BU annual generation in FY 24

New Delhi, 1st April 2024: NTPC Ltd, India's largest integrated power utility, recorded its highest ever yearly generation of 422 Billion Units (BU) in FY 2023-24, at a growth of nearly 6% over FY 2022-23.

During the financial year 2023-24, NTPC Coal stations recorded a plant load factor (PLF) of 77%.

Earlier during the year, the Company recorded highest ever single day generation of 1428 Million Units (MU) on 1st September 2023.

NTPC Soars in ESG Score, Climbs by two levels in CDP Water Security Rating

New Delhi, 21st February, 2024: NTPC’s ESG Score has ascended by two levels, transitioning from a ‘D’ rating in 2022 to a commendable ‘C’ rating in 2023, in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Water Security Rating.

This achievement serves as a testament to NTPC's unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices, with a specific emphasis on water management.

New Delhi, 29th February 2024 : Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will dedicate the 660 MW Unit-1 of North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (NKSTPP) of NTPC which has been established with an investment of Rs 7526 crore to the nation on 1st March 2024.
