New Delhi, 22 November 2022: India’s largest integrated energy company, NTPC Ltd. dispatched its first Coal Rake from NTPC Talaipalli Coal Mine to NTPC Lara Super Thermal Power Project in Chhattisgarh.
Consequent upon successful commissioning, first part capacity of 162.27 MW out of 230 MW Ettayapuram Solar PV Project at Tamil Nadu, is declared on Commercial Operation w.e.f. 12:00 Hrs. of 10.12.2022.
With this, standalone installed and commercial capacity of NTPC has become 57801.27 MW, while group installed and commercial capacity of NTPC has become 70416.27 MW.
The remaining 67.73 MW of Ettayapuram is expected to be declared operational within the next week.

New Delhi, December 13, 2022: Country largest power generator, NTPC ltd crosses 1GW annual capacity in renewable energy (RE) segment by adding 1074.59 MW RE capacity in FY23 taking the total NTPC non-fossil capacity to 9.41%.
New Delhi, January 03, 2023: Country’s largest power generator, NTPC Ltd commissions India's first green hydrogen blending project. The green hydrogen blending has been started in the piped natural gas (PNG) network of NTPC Kawas township, Surat. The project is a joint effort of NTPC and Gujarat Gas Limited (GGL).
The first molecule of green hydrogen from the project was set in motion by Shri P Ram Prasad, head of project, Kawas in presence of other senior executives of NTPC Kawas and GGL.

The Country’s largest power generator- NTPC Ltd., with a present group installed capacity of 71544 MW, declared unaudited financial results for Q3/9M FY23 on 28 January 2023.
NTPC Group generated 295 Billion Units in 9M FY23 as compared to 265 Billion Units in 9M FY22, an increase of ~11%. NTPC’s standalone gross generation in 9M FY23 is 255 Billion Units as compared to 227 Billion Units in the corresponding previous period, registering an increase of ~12%.
NTPC Coal stations achieved a Plant Load Factor of 74.45% as against the National Average of 63.27% during 9M FY23.
