NTPC has won the ISC-FICCI Sanitation Award 2018 under the category "Best Corporate Initiative in Sanitation" and has been especially recognized for the scale and execution in making available 29000 toilets under Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan.
The award was presented by Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and received by Shri M S D Bhattamishra, ED (CSR/R&R/SD) and Shri G Sridhar, AGM (CSR).
The award selection process involved several rounds of evaluation by an eminent jury chaired Dr R. A. Mashelkar, Padma Vibhushan Awardee, Eminent Scientist, Former Director General of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and Chairperson of India's National Innovation Foundation.
