NTPC – H1 FY23 Unaudited Results PAT up by 9.82% (Standalone)

The Country’s largest power generator- NTPC Ltd., with a present group installed capacity of more than 70 GW, declared unaudited financial results for Q2/H1 FY23 on 29 October 2022.
NTPC Group generated 204 Billion Units in H1 FY23 as compared to 177 Billion Units in H1 FY22, an increase of ~15%. NTPC’s standalone gross generation in H1 FY23 is 176 Billion Units as compared to 151 Billion Units in the corresponding previous period, registering an increase of ~16%.

Declaration of COD of first part capacity of 162.27 MW out of 230 MW Ettayapuram Solar PV Project

Consequent upon successful commissioning, first part capacity of 162.27 MW out of 230 MW Ettayapuram Solar PV Project at Tamil Nadu, is declared on Commercial Operation w.e.f. 12:00 Hrs. of 10.12.2022. 

With this, standalone installed and commercial capacity of NTPC has become 57801.27 MW, while group installed and commercial capacity of NTPC has become 70416.27 MW.

The remaining 67.73 MW of Ettayapuram is expected to be declared operational within the next week.

NTPC starts India’s first green hydrogen blending operation in PNG network

New Delhi, January 03, 2023: Country’s largest power generator, NTPC Ltd commissions India's first green hydrogen blending project. The green hydrogen blending has been started in the piped natural gas (PNG) network of NTPC Kawas township, Surat. The project is a joint effort of NTPC and Gujarat Gas Limited (GGL).

The first molecule of green hydrogen from the project was set in motion by Shri P Ram Prasad, head of project, Kawas in presence of other senior executives of NTPC Kawas and GGL.
