New Delhi, 22nd September, 2020: In a key initiative to promote Make in India and give boost to the Government’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, NTPC Ltd, India’s largest power Generation Company, has invited expression of Interest (EoI) from Energy Intensive Industries for setting up manufacturing units within its plant premises.
NTPC organised a Vendors Meet on a digital platform reinforcing reduction of imports and to focus on Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Dhanbad/Ranchi, 4th October, 2020: NTPC Ltd, India's largest power producer, has now empowered women to break another glass ceiling in the state of Jharkhand. Thanks to training centres set up by the state-owned power generator, women from the region are now operating 100 T trucks in the Pakri-Barwadih coal mines at Barkagaon.
Barkagaon/Ranchi/Dhanbad, 6th October, 2020: NTPC Ltd, India’s largest power producer, has suffered an estimated production loss of 900,000 tonne of coal in September as operations at the company’s Pakri-Barwadih mines were completely halted since September 1 due to local agitation. The agitation, which is driven by vested interests, has not only halted the mining operations but also stopped coal dispatch and infrastructure development activities like construction of mine end CHP and cross country conveyor.
New Delhi, 19th October 2020: NTPC Dadri is striving to become the cleanest coal fired plant in the country and is complying with all the CPCB guidelines on emissions.
