NTPC - Global Investment Projects :
- Bangladesh: BIFPCL (A 50:50 JV of NTPC and BPDB)

NTPC is operating a 1320 MW (2×660 MW) Ultra Super Critical Technology-based coal-fired power project in Bangladesh in a joint venture with the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB). The first unit of the project has been in commercial operation since December 2022, while the second unit was declared commercially operational in April 2024.
2. Sri Lanka: TPCL (A 50:50 JV of NTPC and CEB)

NTPC is setting up 120 MW solar PV power project at Sampoor in Sri Lanka through Trincomalee Power Company Limited (TPCL), a 50:50 JV with Ceylon Electricity Board, Sri Lanka. The project is to be developed in two Phases. Groundbreaking for the project was done in the presence of the Hon’ble President of Sri Lanka and the Prime Minister of India in April 2025, along with the signing of Project Agreements between TPCL and CEB for Phase I of 50 MW. Identification of EPC for Phase-I is in progress.
3. Mauritius: 15 MW with 12 MW/ 48 MWhr

NTPC is developing a 15 MW Floating Solar PV project integrated with a 12MW/60 MWh Battery Energy Storage System at the Tamarind Falls Reservoir in Mauritius under a G2G framework. A site visit for the proposed project was undertaken in October 2025. The project is proposed to be developed through a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC viz. NTPC (Mauritius) Energy Limited, which was incorporated on 26th June 2026. Discussions on the Project Agreements with the Central Electricity Board (CEB), Mauritius, are presently at an advanced stage.
