Prof. (Dr.) Som Nath Sachdeva

Prof. (Dr.) Som Nath Sachdeva is the Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, a NAAC A++ accredited State University. He has also served as Vice Chancellor (additional charge) of three other Government Universities in Haryana. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with specialization in Transportation Engineering and has over 39 years of distinguished experience in academics, research and consultancy.

He also served as Professor at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra. He has published over 100 research papers, authored three books, supervised various  postgraduate and doctoral research scholars, and has undertaken several sponsored research and consultancy projects. Prof. Sachdeva has received several national honours, including the Outstanding Vice Chancellor of India (2025) and the Platinum Award from the Government of Haryana for excellence in implementing NEP 2020.
